Logan came home with his first spelling test. He got 19 out of 20 correct. I'm thrilled. (grand. He spelt it grant which might have something to do with his teacher's accent? Maybe? Looking for excuses.) He is ticked that he got one letter wrong. I just hope he can keep up the enthusiasm. He comes home from school and breaks down crying most days. I think just from being tired. Then he doesn't complain but dives into the homework. He is even doing the 25 minutes of reading without complaint and actually read a few paragraphs of Inkheart to himself while waiting for me to come read to him.
Today I had no clue what we were supposed to do with the math stuff. Not a glimmer of an idea. For example- Michelle's game piece was on 58. She used these cards to capture a chip. (+2) (+30) (+2) Write out your equation. Logan says they haven't played any games trying to capture chips.
School is exhausting and I don't even go.

Hip, Hip, Hooray for Logan.
I'm with Logan on this issue. Congratulations on a terrific score Logan! Good luck Heather and Cathy with helping out with your kids schoolwork. Last night I had to help a 1st and 4th grader with their homework and realized how much I had forgotten. (or is it new?) I'm not smarter than a 4th grader!
